NANNY SHARE FINDER — TERMS OF SERVICE
A Service of The Nanny Tribe LLC
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
SECTION 1 — ABOUT THESE TERMS
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Nanny Share Finder, an online self-service listing directory operated by The Nanny Tribe LLC ("The Nanny Tribe," "we," "us," "our"), a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of California.
Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account, posting a listing, browsing the map, or completing a payment, you agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree, you may not use the Nanny Share Finder.
The Nanny Tribe separately operates a full-service nanny placement agency under a distinct set of agreements. These Terms apply solely to the Nanny Share Finder. The Nanny Share Finder is a listing and introduction directory only. It is not a nanny agency. It does not refer, recruit, screen, or place nannies.
SECTION 2 — WHO MAY USE THIS SERVICE
The Nanny Share Finder is available exclusively to adults who are parents or legal guardians arranging childcare for their own children. You must be at least 18 years of age to use this service.
By using this service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements. The Nanny Share Finder is available to residents of the United States only.
To create an account, you will be required to confirm during the registration process that you are at least 18 years of age. By checking that confirmation box, you are representing under penalty of perjury that you meet this requirement. The Nanny Tribe does not independently verify age, but we reserve the right to terminate any account we have reason to believe was created by someone under 18.
SECTION 3 — WHAT THE NANNY SHARE FINDER IS — AND IS NOT
3.1 What It Is. The Nanny Share Finder is a self-service listing directory. Families post a pin describing their approximate location, their children's ages, and their desired childcare schedule. Families browse other pins on an approximate map and may request a mutual connection with another family. When both families agree to connect, basic contact details are shared so the families can meet.
That is the complete scope of this platform.
3.2 What It Is Not. The Nanny Tribe is not a nanny agency through this tool. This platform does not refer nannies. This platform does not recruit nannies. This platform does not employ nannies. This platform does not place nannies. This platform does not screen, background-check, interview, verify, endorse, or vouch for any nanny. This platform does not screen, background-check, interview, verify, endorse, or vouch for any family.
3.3 Unmonitored Platform. The Nanny Share Finder is not actively monitored by The Nanny Tribe. We do not review listings in real time. We do not supervise interactions between users. We do not monitor communications between matched families. We do not oversee, review, or participate in any nanny share arrangement that arises from use of this platform. Users interact with each other and with this platform entirely at their own risk.
3.4 No Endorsement. The appearance of any listing on this platform does not constitute an endorsement, verification, or recommendation of any family or any nanny by The Nanny Tribe. We make no representations about any user on this platform.
SECTION 4 — HOW THE PLATFORM WORKS
Step 1 — Free Listing. You fill out a form at no charge to post a pin. Your pin displays your approximate area, your children's ages, and the schedule you are seeking. Your exact address, your name, your photographs, and your contact information are never shown publicly. Submitting your listing creates a free account so you can return to manage it.
Your pin is not permanent. If you have not made a payment, your pin will expire automatically thirty (30) days from the date it was posted. You are responsible for returning to the platform to repost if your pin expires. The Nanny Tribe does not send expiration reminders.
Step 2 — Browsing and Connection Requests. You may browse other families' pins on the map. If you see a family that appears compatible, you may send a private connection request. Sending a connection request is free. No contact information is shared at this stage.
Step 3 — Mutual Match and Payment. A connection is completed only when both families independently agree to connect. At the moment of mutual agreement, each family's payment method on file is charged a one-time fee of forty-five dollars ($45.00 USD) through Stripe. This charge is automatic upon mutual confirmation. Payment is non-refundable under any circumstances. See Section 5.
Step 4 — Contact Sharing and Active Window. Once both families have paid, each family's contact information is shared with the other. From the date of your first payment, you have a thirty (30) day active window. During this active window, your pin remains live and you may connect with as many additional families as you are able to match with at no additional charge.
Step 5 — Pin Expiration and Renewal. Your pin expires automatically thirty (30) days after your initial payment if no new mutual match is made on or before that date. After expiration, you must re-post your listing and the fee cycle starts over. Your next payment will be triggered by your next mutual match, and a new thirty (30) day active window begins from that payment date.
The Nanny Tribe does not send reminder notices before your pin expires. You are responsible for managing your listing and your active window.
SECTION 5 — FEES, PAYMENT, AND STRICT NON-REFUND POLICY
5.1 Fee Amount. The connection fee is forty-five dollars ($45.00 USD) per family per active window. Fees are charged in U.S. dollars only.
5.2 When You Are Charged. Your card is charged automatically at the moment both families confirm a mutual match. By agreeing to connect, you authorize this charge. You will not be charged simply for browsing or sending connection requests.
5.3 Absolute Non-Refund Policy. ALL FEES PAID TO THE NANNY SHARE FINDER ARE STRICTLY NON-REFUNDABLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES WHATSOEVER. This means:
- The fee is non-refundable if the match does not lead to a nanny share arrangement.
- The fee is non-refundable if you and the other family cannot agree on terms.
- The fee is non-refundable if you cannot find a nanny.
- The fee is non-refundable if the nanny share arrangement falls apart after it begins.
- The fee is non-refundable if you change your mind about participating.
- The fee is non-refundable if you do not use your thirty (30) day active window.
- The fee is non-refundable if you experience technical difficulties accessing the platform.
- The fee is non-refundable if the other family turns out to be a poor fit.
No exceptions. No partial refunds. No credits. By paying, you acknowledge and agree to this policy in full.
5.4 Payment Processing. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. The Nanny Tribe does not store your full card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment credentials. By making a payment, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service, available at stripe.com/legal.
5.5 Chargebacks. If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your card issuer for a fee that was properly charged in accordance with these Terms, The Nanny Tribe reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account. You expressly agreed to the non-refund policy at the time of payment.
SECTION 6 — ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND YOUR SOLE RESPONSIBILITY
6.1 Use Entirely at Your Own Risk. YOU USE THE NANNY SHARE FINDER ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK. The Nanny Tribe makes no representations about the identity, character, fitness, honesty, safety, or suitability of any user of this platform. All information provided by users is self-reported and has not been verified, screened, or reviewed by The Nanny Tribe.
6.2 No Vetting of Families. The Nanny Tribe does not screen, background-check, verify, or investigate any family that uses this platform. The presence of a family on this platform means only that they submitted a listing form. It says nothing about who they are. You are solely responsible for evaluating any family before agreeing to co-hire a nanny with them or sharing your children's care with them.
6.3 No Referral of Nannies. This platform does not refer nannies. It does not source, recruit, screen, background-check, verify, interview, endorse, or place nannies. Any nanny hired as a result of connecting through this platform is found, vetted, hired, and managed entirely by the families themselves. The Nanny Tribe has no involvement in that process whatsoever.
6.4 Your Due Diligence Obligation. You are solely and entirely responsible for:
- Conducting your own background check on any nanny you consider hiring
- Verifying any nanny's references, work history, identity, and eligibility to work in the United States
- Interviewing and evaluating any nanny
- Negotiating all terms of any nanny share arrangement with the other family
- Entering into your own written agreements with the other family and with any nanny
- All employment law compliance as a household employer, including wage and hour obligations, tax withholding, workers' compensation insurance, Form I-9 completion, and any other applicable legal requirements
- Any and all costs, liabilities, disputes, or consequences arising out of your nanny share arrangement
6.5 No Advice Provided. Nothing on this platform constitutes legal, tax, financial, employment, or payroll advice. Any educational content about nanny shares is general information only. Consult your own qualified professionals before entering into any employment or co-employment arrangement.
6.6 Children's Safety. THE NANNY TRIBE BEARS NO RESPONSIBILITY WHATSOEVER FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR CHILDREN IN CONNECTION WITH ANY ARRANGEMENT MADE THROUGH THIS PLATFORM. You are responsible for all decisions relating to your children's care and safety.

You agree to fully defend, indemnify, and hold harmless The Nanny Tribe and its members, managers, employees, agents, and representatives from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, judgments, awards, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or relating to:

SECTION 11 — ACCOUNT TERMINATION
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Nanny Share Finder at any time, for any reason, including violation of these Terms or conduct harmful to other users. Termination does not entitle you to any refund of fees paid.

SECTION 12 — THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The Nanny Share Finder uses Stripe for payment processing. We are not responsible for Stripe's services, practices, or policies. Your use of Stripe is governed by Stripe's own terms and privacy policy. We may include links to third-party resources for informational purposes. We do not endorse those resources and are not responsible for their content.
SECTION 13 — EDUCATIONAL CONTENT
Any blog posts, guides, or other content on the Nanny Share Finder about nanny shares, co-employment, or household employment is provided for general informational purposes only.
