California's current market rate for qualified nannies will be between $32.00 and $60.00 an hour. Rates will be based on what the nanny feels they are valued at, based on their years of experience, skill set, and education.  Other factors will include the location of the position, the number of children, the schedule, and the day-to-day duties requested.

According to California employment law, paying regularly scheduled nannies under the table is prohibited and constitutes tax evasion. The Nanny Tribe exclusively recruits for families committed to providing legal pay and fair wages based on local market rates. We recommend offering a rate slightly below your maximum budget to accommodate for taxes.

The Nanny Tribe's fees are tailored to the specific services you need. Our fees are approximately 17-18% of your nanny's annual income. We customize our services for each family, so discussing the details during your discovery call is best.  Challenging placements like Rotating schedules, NCS care, and out-of-state recruiting may require extra fees.

It takes between 2 and 6 weeks, with an average of 4 weeks.  This time frame will depend on the placement difficulty, the market, your location, and the rate you offer. You can find more information on our Work With Us Page
