Nanny for Santa Barbara Family (Montecito)

A professional family in Santa Barbara is looking for a warm, experienced part-time nanny/mother’s helper to support them on weekends. Every weekend will be filled with adventure—beach outings, hiking, dinner excursions, and more. The nanny will assist the parents and ensure smooth, efficient time with the children.

The parents have a very hands-on parenting style, and the nanny's position is essential in supporting them and their time with their children. Your role will be valued and integral to the family dynamic.  

The Nanny should be familiar with multi-staff households, partnering with another nanny while on shift, reading the room type, and being involved with the children.

If you thrive in a calm, drama-free household and are experienced working with high-profile families in multi-staffed environments, this could be a perfect fit for you! Please note, this is not a full-charge nanny position but a supportive partner to the parents.

Job Requirements 

4+ years of recent professional nanny experience (references required)
OR 2 years of recent nanny experience plus ECE units or other childcare certifications
Infant and toddler experience, with the ability to manage combined care
Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, the RIE method
Current Infant First Aid and CPR certification, as well as Tdap and TB vaccinations
Ability to work in harmony with parents, adapt to household needs, and "read the room"
Current certifications in Hands On Training of Infant First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)
Up-to-date vaccinations, including Tdap, and TB
Ability to adapt to a calm, team-oriented household environment

Schedule

Weekends Required 
Saturday - Monday
or Friday - Sunday
29 hours Guaranteed 
Apoxemntly 9:00 am - 7:00 pm 
Flexability In Schedule (Extra days or eveing to support other nannies when needed

Compensation

Compensation: $35.00-$40.00 per hour offered by experience
